North Point Eyewear Goes Translucent

North Point Eyewear Goes Translucent

Think of a stained glass window, a frosted glass shower door, or a tinted windshield. They all illustrate the property of translucence—materials that allow light to pass through them without revealing images.

Now, the makers of North Point Eyewear, the American-made, Pittsburgh-based eyewear brand, have brought translucence to a new range of products, thanks to a unique, premium Italian acetate. These eye-catching colors will dazzle patients and customers when they see them on your frame board. Lime Green, Crystal Yellow, Foggy Blue, Stormy Tortoise & Kaleidoscope are just a few of their bold new translucent options. When worn the color is impactful, but more subtle.

“Our new translucent frames have been phenomenal,” says Sue Creek, V.P. of Sales and Training. “The sell-through on some of our boldest colors, like yellow, has been great.” Styles include Point Breeze, Smithfield, and Elliot in both ophthalmic and sun.  Sue points out that some of the new translucent options are sized larger than the original North Point styles, in response to customer requests.

IN OTHER NORTH POINT NEWS….

North Point’s fledgling private label program is gaining steam and has over 20 customers taking part. The company requires the purchase of 50 pieces but just four per SKU, so the initial buy-in provides them with 50 different frames. The customer selects the acetate they wish to use and North Point engraves the temples with their proprietary brand or logo and paints them.  What’s more North Point’s marketing team is available to help private label providers promote their unique collections.  A powerful sales and marketing tool for 2023!
